🔍 Overview
Bandarpunch Peak, located in the Garhwal Himalayas within the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, is a snow-covered giant standing at 6,316 meters. The name “Bandarpunch” means Monkey’s Tail and is linked to the mythological tale of Lord Hanuman extinguishing his burning tail here. This climb is a mix of high-altitude trekking, glacier navigation, and technical mountaineering, making it perfect for those preparing for higher Himalayan expeditions.
📅 Day-Wise Itinerary & Description
🗓️ Day 1: Arrival in Sankri (1,920 m)
Drive from Dehradun to Sankri
Scenic Himalayan villages en route
Overnight in a guesthouse
🗓️ Day 2: Drive to Taluka, Trek to Seema (2,560 m)
1-hour jeep ride to Taluka
14 km trek along Supin River
Lush forests, waterfalls, & bridges
🗓️ Day 3: Trek to Ruinsara Tal (3,500 m)
Moderate ascent through alpine meadows
Glimpses of Black Peak & Bandarpunch range
Camp near pristine Ruinsara Lake

Return to base camp for the night
